Jordan A Nelson
Jordan A Nelson started dancing at age 17 in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Classical Ballet Academy. Two years of training led him to Ballet Chicago in 2010, where he was twice awarded the Dowd Merit Scholarship. After two years under the direction of Daniel Duell and Patricia Blair, Jordan signed his first professional contracts with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet and Columbia City Ballet. Since then he has performed with numerous companies around the country and internationally as a guest artist. Some of his career highlights are: Balanchine's Slaughter on Tenth Avenue and Monumentum pro Gesauldo at the Kennedy Center, Gerald Arpino's Light Rain, Wheeldon's The American with the Ariana Quartet, Twyla Tharpe's Nine Sinatra Songs, and Balanchine's Concerto Barocco at the Harris theatre in Chicago. He is currently a principal artist at Canyon Concert Ballet and is forever grateful for every new opportunity this dream brings.
