About Moody Performance Hall

Moody Performance Hall is located in the heart of the Dallas Arts District and is directly across from Booker T Washington High School and next to the Wyly Theater.

Box Office and Will Call:

The Box Office is located in the lobby of the theater. You may pick up Will Call tickets or purchase tickets, pending availability, one hour before the start of the performance. We recommend that you purchase your tickets online or by calling our box office at TICKETDFW at 214-871-5000 prior to arriving at the venue.

Directions and Parking:

Moody Performance Hall is located at 2520 Flora St, Dallas TX . Night of show parking is available for purchase for $15-20 at Arts District Garages. Free or metered street parking is also available.

  • The Nutcracker with Live Orchestra is a full-length production in two 45 minutes acts with a 20 minute intermission. The whole show runs one hour and 50 minutes.

    Nutcracker: Short & Suite is 45-60 minutes.

  • All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

    If your child is restless or crying during the performance, we respectfully ask that you step out of the auditorium momentarily. An usher will gladly help you return to your seat at an appropriate break in the performance.

  • The Box Office and lobby open approximately one hour prior to a concert’s scheduled performance time. Seating begins 30 minutes prior to performance time.

    Be sure to leave time for busy parking garages during this time of year!

  • Our patrons wear anything that makes them comfortable and in the holiday spirit!

Nutcracker student cast auditions

Avant Chamber Ballet is looking for young dancers to perform in the professional production of The Nutcracker at Moody Performance Hall on November 28-29 and December 4-6, 2026.

There are two audition locations on September 13:

Avant Chamber Ballet Studio: 2333 Farrington St, Dallas

AGES 5-8: 12-12:45PM

AGES 9-11: 1-1:45PM

AGES 12 and up: 2-2:45PM

Artistry in Motion Performing Arts Center: 8245 Precinct Line Rd, Suite 190, North Richland Hills

AGES 5-8: 4-4:45PM

AGES 9-11: 5-5:45PM

AGES 12 and up: 6-6:45PM

Audition fee is $15.

Production participation fee: $100.

There are two rehearsal sites with two student casts and performances.

Dallas Cast Performances: Nov 28 2pm, 7pm & Nov 29 2pm

Artistry in Motion Cast Performances - DEC 4 7pm, Dec 5 2pm, 7pm, & Dec 6 3pm

Rehearsal Dates:

Oct 11, Oct 18, Oct 25, Nov 1, Nov 8, Nov 15, Nov 22

Dallas cast Stage rehearsals: Nov 24, 25, 27

AIMPAC cast stage rehearsals: Dec 1, 2

All stage rehearsals and performances are mandatory.

All ages and genders are invited. Roles include Clara, Fritz, Party Guests, Mice, Soldiers, Angels, Candy Canes, and Polichinelles.

Rehearsals will be held on Sundays between 12-5 at Avant Chamber Ballet and AIMPAC Studios. Excused absences from rehearsals are allowed, but must be approved by ACB Staff.

Dancers aged 5-7 have fewer rehearsals starting Oct 18. Dancer’s rehearsals will be between 12-5pm, but only for 1-2 hours, depending on casting.

Polichinelles and Candy Cane dancers will have the option to perform at two additional “Nutcracker: Short & Suite” performances with ACB on Nov 29 in Southlake and Dec 3 and 6 in Dallas.
